Our Social Responsibility
Social responsibility motivates Sopra Steria Group's approach to promoting equal opportunities in three forms:
Digital transformation has become an architect of new services and career opportunities. However, women are extremely under-represented in the IT industry. That is why the Group is working on projects to encourage girls to pursue science subjects, and to make the careers we have to offer more attractive to women engineers. All employees who join our Group are given the encouragement and support they need to build their career paths, regardless of gender.
In recruitment, Sopra Steria has a policy of positive discrimination in favour of people with disabilities. Since they are less likely to go on to higher education, we work with schools and engineering schools to help disabled students gain access to the best higher education programmes. The Group has launched innovative projects to recruit people with disabilities and raise awareness of disability among its workforce. Assuring the continued employment of disabled individuals is also a priority, and amenities have been put in place to make their working lives easier.
Creating access to education and employment for young people from disadvantaged areas is also part of the Group's social policy. Sopra Steria achieves this through partnerships with associations that work directly with young people.
With the 'Our neighbourhoods have talent' programme in France, Sopra Steria supports young graduates from these areas as they look for work, by running workshops about the careers we offer and helping them in their search.
